Chief sponsor XXImo supports smarter travel initiative by Natuur & Milieu
’s-Hertogenbosch, 3 February 2015 – XXImo, chief sponsor of FC Twente, is forming a partnership with Hopper. This initiative by the Natuur & Milieu environmental organisation – in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure & the Environment, Gazelle, KPN and Go About – encourages Dutch people to travel smarter. In order to communicate this initiative, FC Twente will be playing with the Hopper logo on the back of their away shirts for the rest of the 2014/2015 season. The new away strip was first seen during the match against ADO Den Haag. At home games, the Hopper campaign is also communicated on the digital advertising hoardings along the side of the pitch.
The aim of the Hopper campaign is to make people aware of the possibilities of smart travel in order to reduce environmental impact and the number of traffic jams. Using the campaign website www.ikbenhopper.nl, travellers can see how they can travel from their home or workplace in the smartest way possible. All possible options are included: car, train, shared car, bicycle, taxi, etc. This complete freedom in transport corresponds to the vision of XXImo, which lowers the threshold for using a mix of transport options with its mobility solution.
‘We are very pleased with the faith XXImo is showing in us. Having a prominent place on the shirts of an attractive side like FC Twente means the Hopper campaign is brought to the attention of a huge audience’, says Olof van de Gaag, director of campaigns at Natuur & Milieu. ‘In order to achieve our objectives, we need to get as many people as possible travelling smarter. The partnership with XXImo and FC Twente absolutely contributes to that goal.’
‘XXImo fully supports the Hopper campaign. The initiative shows that smart travel is perfectly normal and very easy. By donating our space on the back of the shirt to Hopper for the forthcoming away games, we are doing even more to bring the campaign to the attention of the Dutch public’, says Patrick Bunnik, CEO of XXImo. ‘Millions of people will come into contact with the Hopper campaign through the away shirts and the pitch-side advertising hoardings. And the product from XXImo helps business travellers to become active Hoppers themselves.’
‘After nearly two years of sponsoring FC Twente, XXImo has become an increasingly well-known name. In addition, the company provides plenty of scope for social initiatives – previously with the Worldwide Fund for Nature and now with Hopper’, says Joop Munsterman, chairman of FC Twente.
XXImo offers a new and unique mobility solution for the business traveller. XXImo makes it possible to plan, administer and pay for all business travel. With XXImo, the employee decides for themselves what is the best way to travel from A to B – by car alone, by car and public transport or by a combination of taxi, bicycle and public transport. In addition, employees can use XXImo to book and pay for hotels or meeting venues. It is the first mobility solution which allows users to pay for business travel on the basis of a ‘travel menu’ put together in advance. This menu is determined by the employer or freelancer. That way, all commuting and business travel is easy to schedule without deciding everything beforehand. You decide and are free to tailor each journey to your requirements – easily, independently and in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Hassles with receipts, expense claims and booking mobility services in advance are a thing of the past. All transactions with XXImo are shown on a single itemised summary invoice. Employers can use these invoices for their VAT returns. XXImo means a lot less administrative work, resulting in financial gains. XXImo leads the way in many fields, including sustainability. The personal XXImo page gives an employer an overview of the CO2 emissions generated by all travel movements by all employees. You can find more information at www.xximo.nl and www.xximo.com.
