Utrecht, May 10, 2022 – Tango is launching the Tango Mobility Card in the Netherlands in partnership with XXImo. This move gives Tango’s business customers access to all forms of mobility with a single solution – such as public transport, taxi, car wash, parking and refuelling in the Netherlands and abroad. Tango already offered a fuel card and the Tango electric charging card. With the addition of the Tango Mobility Card, business customers can now also benefit from a complete integrated solution for managing, paying for and administering mobility. Plus, customers get discounts on fuel and a network with complete coverage in the Netherlands.
Tango is part of Q8. This company has been successfully offering the Q8 Mobility Card in Belgium for the past five years, also in partnership with XXImo. The rollout to the Netherlands is therefore a logical step and is in line with Tango’s aim of focusing more on wider mobility-related services. The partnership with XXImo gives concrete form to this ambition.
The Tango Mobility Card
Besides refuelling, the Tango Mobility Card can be used to pay for all mobility-related costs. These are listed on a single combined VAT invoice at the end of the month. Employers decide which type of costs the Mobility Card may be used for. In this way, they remain in control of mobility expenditure while employees benefit from maximum freedom of choice. With the smart Milo app and a self-service portal, employer and employee have all the tools they need to make mobility as simple as possible.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
XXImo is the first mobility card in Europe that works with Apple Pay. This means users can add the Tango Mobility Card to their Apple Wallet and pay for their mobility expenditures using their iPhone or Apple Watch. As a result, a physical card and PIN code are no longer necessary. As such, Tango and XXImo are supplying a future proof solution. Later this year, Google Pay will also be introduced, meaning that all Android users will also be able to pay using their smartphone or watch.
Maarten Crolla, Sales Manager Fleet at Tango: “Our customers’ mobility needs are changing. They are looking for increased flexibility and sustainability and want to be able to decide from day to day how they travel. With the Tango Mobility Card, we are responding to that perfectly and giving them access to all conceivable possibilities with a single solution, whilst assuring grip and control. XXImo is a proven partner in this regard, which has been taking business mobility to a higher level for ten years and is constantly innovating. We will continue to innovate and invest in future-oriented opportunities together.”
Jur Huber, Head of Partner Sales & Account Management: “Tango is an innovative company that responds perfectly to the needs of its customers. I am pleased that we are able to support both Q8 and Tango in their aim of meeting all customer needs with an all-in-one mobility solution. Together with Apple Pay and an application that allows customers to directly onboard themselves, we are facilitating a frictionless customer journey. And ultimately that’s what it’s all about; mobility without the hassle.”
XXImo is the all-in-one mobility platform for employers that brings together expenses management, international travel and mobility. With XXImo, employers can configure their entire mobility policy for all employees based on business rules. Within those rules, employees then have complete freedom to choose how they want to travel. With a wide range of smart payment solutions and a handy app, they can plan, book and pay for their travel every day – from public transport to hotel stays and from shared mobility to e-charging. Because all costs, payments and expenses claims are handled via a single platform, employers benefit from a single invoice with a VAT breakdown, a single report and a single contract with a supplier. In short: more grip and control for the employer and more flexibility for the employee.
XXImo was founded in 2011 as part of the AutoBinck Group – a Dutch family owned business that has grown to become one of the main players in the European mobility market, with a variety of ventures focused on mobility tomorrow and the more distant future. The company has a turnover of €1 billion, operates in eight European countries and has over 1600 employees.
Tango, part of Q8, is the founder of the ‘unmanned refuelling’ market segment in the Netherlands and since opening its first unmanned filling station in 2000 has worked to build a national network that currently comprises 195 filling stations. Convenience, speed and price are the watchwords at Tango. Smart refuelling has become routine thanks to Tango’s unmanned filling stations and the company’s focus today is getting you to your destination in smart ways – with super-fast charging points that can be located using the Tango electric app, a car insurance policy that means drivers only pay for the kilometres they travel and an attractive approach to car sharing with SnappCar. Tango’s aim is to continue to develop as a broad mobility-focused service provider in the future.
